This Tuesday, June 8, at 7:15pm, elite cyclist, ESPN journalist, and former pro triathlete Kathryn Bertine will speak at Conte's Arlington about her exhausting, entertaining, humorous and ultimately inspiring attempt to qualify for the 2008 (and 2012!) Olympic Games, as well as sign copies of her new book, As Good As Gold.
I've just finished it and it's a great read. From luge tracks to Caribbean islands to UCI World Championships, Bertine's story will motivate you to dig deep and race until you taste blood in the back of your throat (you'll have to read the book to find out about that!).
Copies of As Good As Gold will be available for purchase/signing at Conte's.
