I did the Monticelloman Olympic Tri and the Jefferson Sprint Tri this year, and I recommend both of them! Charlottesville Multisports and race director Kate Lucas put on some great races! Smaller fields (100-150 for each race last year means very little time in transitions) and very professionally run... much like a Set-Up Events race. They do a good job with the t-shirts, and the bottles of wine for age-group winners were very popular last year. The college teams (UVA, VT, Georgetown) usually have strong showings at these races too! But be forewarned... Charlottesville has some killer hills on the bike... not a flat stretch out there!

This looks great. Annapolis Sprint is May 12, 2012 and is alot closer (no hotels, no babysitter). Tough call. I am sitting out Columbia this year - so no 3 weekends racing in row. (Columbia, May 20, 2012).

Why is MonticelloMan trying to compete with PeasantMan when they know that they will loose since PeasantMan is on the same weekend ;)

Tuan, do you know where Peasantman will be next year yet? Lake Anna state park seemed like a good spot, too bad.

It will definitely be at Lake Anna next year. We are also going to incorporate into the festivities semi organized rides of 10 miles (PeasantMan course), 56 miles (1x of Kinetic course), and 112 miles (2x of Kinetic course) the day before PeasantMan. PeasantMan will be on a Sunday. Bike rides, swim clinic, bike clinic, and etc will be on the Saturday of the same weekend. Just like last year, we will have PeasantMan the week before Kinetic so that folks can preview that course ahead of time.

The rides will be free. The after ride BBQ will be like last year where we ask for a $5 donation or free if you bring a food item.

I'll have more details next year or in December. I can't say much until we get everything approved from the power that be.

Sounds great. This mean you misspoke before when you said it was the same weekend as Monticello and Annapolis as Kinetic is also May 12/13? That put's PM on May 5/6... special Cinco de Mayo BBQ!!

MonticelloMan is on the May 5/6 weekend. Annapolis and Kinetic are on the May 12 weekend. The club championship is also on the May 12 weekend, so hopefully those folks are tapering and can come out for a little fun at PeasantMan.

PeasantMan will the May 5/6 weekend.
