I"m seeking some advice. I recently started training and I'm in the beginning phase of training for my first triathlon. I would love to participate in the spring duathlon but I do not want to compete too soon, and upset the balance of my training for the DC Tri.
What should I do? Is it too early? Should I wait, or should I go for it?
Go for it!
It's a good brick workout for your training. Just don't plan on going 100% but treat it as a solid training event.
I agree...go for it. I've been battling an injury for many months and my coach noted that even if I can only do one or two parts of the race that the experience is a good one. Depending on how I feel that morning, I seriously may only commit to the first run. But at least it's one more run I can scratch off my training list! Enjoy each moment is what I say. See ya there.
