Swimming iPod Suggestions
POSTED: 5/03/09 10:40 PM

I don't want to be a heathen. I recognize the value in training in silence, getting used to the boredom, being a purist etc...

But I've recognized that the 2000+ yard swims take particularly long, and I want a way to pass the time. I need some suggestions on which waterproof mp3 player / ipod waterproofing solution is the best.

Has anyone used such a device?

How do you work the headphones?

What works/ doesn't work?

I would prefer a solution that doesn't involve risking my ipod.

I have an Otterbox. It works great and keeps your iPod safe in the water. It took me a few swims to feel comfortable that I would not ruin it....but I never have!

I am not using mine anymore because I now swim with a group. If you research it and would like to buy mine, let me know.

I haven't used one yet but I've heard really good reviews of the H2O Audio products ( They make cases for every size, expect of course my very old iPod mini, and I'm very tempted to buy a shuffle just so that I can get the Inteval system.
