Swimming iPod Suggestions
POSTED: 5/03/09 10:40 PM

I don't want to be a heathen. I recognize the value in training in silence, getting used to the boredom, being a purist etc...

But I've recognized that the 2000+ yard swims take particularly long, and I want a way to pass the time. I need some suggestions on which waterproof mp3 player / ipod waterproofing solution is the best.

Has anyone used such a device?

How do you work the headphones?

What works/ doesn't work?

I would prefer a solution that doesn't involve risking my ipod.

Thanks!!!

I have an Otterbox. It works great and keeps your iPod safe in the water. It took me a few swims to feel comfortable that I would not ruin it....but I never have!

I am not using mine anymore because I now swim with a group. If you research it and would like to buy mine, let me know. alyssamorrison@hotmail.com

I haven't used one yet but I've heard really good reviews of the H2O Audio products (www.h2oaudio.com). They make cases for every size, expect of course my very old iPod mini, and I'm very tempted to buy a shuffle just so that I can get the Inteval system.
