Any other footy fans going to be trapped in Cambridge MD on June 12, aka USA vs. England?
my plan is to watch The Argentina Vs Nigeria game at Dupont theh head to cambridge and hope I can find a place to watch he 2nd 1/2 of the USA England game let me know is there is any place
USA vs England is a serious deterrent versus volunteering at Eagleman. Thinking Summers Restaurant instead. (EDIT: This is for me - you should volunteer at Eagleman. I still might...)
Sam's Army defiant!
For those who are not racing and are soccer fan all 3 games
of Saturday will be shown live with big screen at Dupont Circle it should be a good soccer festival
I ll be there for the 1st 2 games before heading to cambridge
Yup.. not going to get much out of me that day. I plan on being done with my easy workout, and on the couch at 1:25.... 13:25 for those military minded.
Yes, I'm really going to do that, but only after my business writing service would be done.
Eric, i'm just gonna have to find a place up there that's playing the match.
it's on ABC so that makes it easier.
(i guess i shall do that after my writing service is done. )
Spammer's account deleted. We may have to delete these posts he's been linking from.
Until then, England, you are no longer our friend (ironic with BP, no?). Don't Tread on US. USA FTW
If the US wins, does this mean we can stop having David Beckham's picture on every 3rd magazine cover at the grocery stores? I'd really like that. Or maybe it could mean that his picture gets replaced by that of his wife's.
Speaking of front pages...
i cant see it, please tell me it's not a writing service
Hey ... Queen Elizabeth ... how's Fergie doing?
It is now on. Let the trash talk begin. Let us throw some Lipton tea bags into the Potomac :)
oh, i can see it now. for once the sun was right: it is an easy group
Sadly I, like Simon, won't be able to volunteer for EagleMan as I'll be cheering on the mighty Red, White, and Blue.
I can't believe we got tix and couldn't go... damn SA price gouging! Still bitter.
Simon- a few of us are heading to Fado in Chinatown. We're gonna post up early... doors open @ 7A, first match @ 730A. Not sure if you've ever been to Summers but it's kinda shady. Fado is also one of the official US Soccer bars in DC. Lemme know if you want to join forces.
-the other Fergie
I love a man with a vision. In for Fado's - assuming any DC triclubbers not on the Eagleman Expeditionary Force (EEF), are welcome to join. EEF is priority (we still need volunteers), but there must always be a Home Garrison while the Main Effort is out conquering.
It's time to be Colonists together. Shake off the Empire and grab a musket.
EASY?! We'll send a few stealth bombers, Nimitz class carriers, and Ranger battalions their way for some easy a%$-kicking.
The world will know that the US bows to No One
I also can't believe that we are not in South Africa right now...
And we'll send Freddy Adu too!
Oh wait, I read that he's not even on the team this year. Never mind.
Hard Time's upstairs will have some pretty good deals, I hear. AND serving starting at 7AM!
Eagleman comes around every year, but World Cup not so much! ;)
Hard Time's would be a perfect venue on Saturday. Watch the game inside and see the Clarendon Cup Crit at the same time.
the fact that it's an easy group is bc slovenia and algeria are two horrible teams. it's the USA's easiest group ever, as well.
Hmmm also a great idea. Hard Times is our normal football haven - it's really fun. Matt, any interest? I'll hit you offline.
