Mt. Weather Saturday 8/15?
POSTED: 8/12/09 12:31 PM

I know NE tri is Sunday but anyone up for Mt. Weather this weekend?

Looking to get about 4 repeats up the hardest part of Mt. Weather (about 2.5 mile climb to the top of the hardest part before the rollers x 4 repeats = 10 miles), then probably 6 times up Naked Mtn. (.6 mile climb x 6 repeats = ~3.6 miles)

Average out to the climbs and in the valleys will be in the 20mph range, with the repeats being anywhere between 9-13mph during the climbs.

Trying to gauge interest before committing to going...

Chad,

Keep me posted if you go any other times. I would like to try Mt Weather, but I am heading to VA Beach for a relaxing weekend(aside the traffic getting there). I am venturing more and more into wanting to climb on my bike, it's truthfully challenging and rewarding when I am done.

I am thinking of going out for a somewhat easier Mt Weather workout on Saturday--out and back over the hill from Purcellville (possibly with some additional miles on the rollers after Mt Weather) at a pretty easy pace. All this is if getting up and driving out there wins out over sleeping in. :) Anyone else interested?

Jim
