Hello all-
Are there any Turkey Trot options available this year?

Looking for a few workouts Wed-Sun of next week.

Happy holidays!

Not sure if you are looking for a DC tri-specific Turkey Trot event?

If not, I know of three that are near by:

1. Bethesda Turkey Chase: http://www.turkeychase.com/

I ran this last year. Huge crowds and well organized.

2. Alexandria Turkey Trot: http://www.alexandriaturkeytrot.com/

3. MCRRC Turkey Burnoff: Low key event but possibly the longest turkey trot? 10 miles or 5 miles.

I think the Marine Corp and Vienna also have Turkey Trots

Alexandria is what I am shooting for. They have race day registration for us folk who put things off too long. They even have a division so you can run with your athletic pup.

I'm doing Alexandria. It's a nice race -- 5 miles, reasonable 9 am start time, and the start/finish is about a block from the Braddock Road metro stop.

I'll also be at the SOME Trot For Hunger 5K wearing my DC Triclub singlet (probably over several other layers in this cold!) The SOME 5K also has a later 9am start time and a metro accessible location (Federal Triangle & Metro Center stops). It also has a kids race at 8:30, a great course that starts & finishes on Pennsylvania Avenue and runs front of the Capitol, a huge field (over 3400 timed finishers last year and a lot of untimed joggers/walkers), and an incredible fundraiser for So Others Might Eat (it has already raised $414K). It generally draws a pretty good crowd from DC Triclub... hope to see many of y'all there!

That DC one sounds fun. I'm in for the well-attended Alex TT. (Then to Boulder, CO for outdoor pool swimming during Club Challenge's Swim Month.)
