I've done North East Tri Sprint twice now, and they changed the bike course in 2013 to avoid a downhill with a sharp turn towards the bottom of it, but in doing so, the bike is 17.7 miles for a sprint. If you look at the map which can be found here http://www.piranha-sports.com/media/image/Maps/NorthEastTri/2013_NETBikeCourse_Maps.pdf On the Sprint course (the map on the first page), if you cut out the out and back on Turkey Point Road, and make the left onto McKinneytown Road, you will get a 13.7 mile bike instead of 17.7 I've e-mail the race director, Neil, (who can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org) and mentioned this. If we can get more people to mention this, may be they will have a more "sprint" like bike course as opposed to a semi-Olympic course!
Race the Olympic!!
It's only a little over 5 miles more on the bike but more importantly, it's the 2014 Mid-Atlantic Club Championship race!!
