I can take it to Freshbikes on Thursday, but I am on the same boat as you for pickup.
Anyone who might be interested...
I can pick up yours and drop off if you would be able to pick mine up @ Freshbikes the following Tuesday, and store it for a week.
Kinda complicated, but please pm or post.
I can easily pick up anyone's bike if needed. I will going out of town from July 6-July 13 though. Just let me know if you need me.
Katie and Yong,
Maybe we can work something out. I also need someone to drop off my bike because I am leaving for Chicago on Wedneday.
I can easily pick up all the bikes as I have a van. I live close to Chain Bridge right off Glebe road.
thanks K8yBair I just got solidified my spot for the transport. @carrollea wishing you a speedy recovery. see you all in Chicago

Athletes MUST make arrangements to pick up and drop off bikes within these windows of time. Athletes should have their bikes ready to go upon arrival on Thursday.
Bikes will NOT have to be boxed, but prior to your arrival you will need to remove pedals, computers, water bottles, bottle cages, detachable aero bars and anything else that can fall off of your bike. No transition bags are allowed on the truck. We will have a mechanic on site in Chicago to help with minor services (tire pressure, etc.).
Addresses to the bike shop and destination in Chicago are below:
3924 Wilson Blvd
Arlington, VA 22203
Chicago, IL 60605
Corner of South Columbus Drive and East Balboa Avenue in front of Field #7

We'd love to bring the DC Tri Club tent out to Chicago. We're looking for someone who can be responsible for this. You'll have plenty of help, but we do need someone who can ultimately take responsibility for making sure the tent gets on/off the bike truck, set-up at the race site, etc.
We're planning a team dinner for Saturday night. We need just a few folks who can commit to coming early (5 pm) to help set-up and a few others who can lead clean-up.
I'm happy to help out with the tent - definitely set-up, not sure about clean-up. Is there a spot confirmed for the pre-race dinner Saturday?
For those who have been gracious enough to offer to pickup other's bikes, does anyone live anywhere near a Metro stop? I'll manage if you don't, but it would obviously make it easier :-)
Since I am not able to race I can help out with whatever is needed - just can't carry a lot of weight.
I've also had to downgrade (from Oly to sprint) so I can help out/sherpa/cheer in the morning if needed.
I can pick up bikes. I have a garage to keep the bikes. I need someone to drop mine off. Can we talk on the phone?
For those of you registered for bike transport, you will receive an email in next week from USAT. This will include an athlete data form where you'll be requested to provide a number of details - including who will be picking up/dropping off your bike. Suggest we hold off on questions to Lauren at USAT until we get the forthcoming update that should answer many of the questions folks have at this point.
Cathy: I can drop off your bike, need you to pick my bike off.
I'll msg u too.
Sorry for the late reply - happy to help with tent set up and/or dinner set-up.
Can help with cleanup. Can pick up a bike; live in Huntington, Alexandria.
Can anyone with race organization or management experience explain to me the rational behind the order to wave starts? So bummed I have to wait 2hrs and 45 min from the start of wave one to go off (heat is not my friend)...but still looking forward to the race!
I'm going to send an email to race director and ask for explanation or suggestion of what he/she think I should do for that long wait. I have to wait 3hr45. I can only think of one explanation, they over-sold the race!
Wesley: I always wait about 2 hrs for my race start and you have been lucky/fortunate that you never had it before. When it passes 2hrs mark, the wait is a bit too much!
I have never seen a race where the last wave goes off at 1:10pm! Glad I didn't sign up for the sprint distance. They are going to have starting waves for over 7 hours.
I'm with Mina, starting at 9:45. . .I'll bring some bagels, bloody mary's in a nalgene, and a deck of cards and we'll make the most of it :)
Looks like there are different transition hours for Oly and Sprint-
Sunday, June 29
4:00 a.m. - 5:45 a.m. Transition Olympic-Distance opens (prior to race start)
9:45 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Transition Sprint Distance opens (prior to race start)
