OK the question every year at this time....anyone know when Flanagan will start the AM practices at Haine's Point?
June 1st is the word on the street, but I think the deadline to pay was a few weeks ago...
It's June 6th, but Andy is right, the deadline to sign up/pay was May 6th. Traditionally there has been a no drop in policy.
What are the hours at the pool? Is it not possible to join up in the morning practices now?
Monday, June 6th is Flanagan's Master group start.
I swam in Alexandria at Chinquapin this morning and was speaking with the Masters peeps as we lined up to get into Chinq and they all told me Monday, June 6th.
Can't wait - this is when the lanes at Chinq clear up : )
Are these practices still going on? I would like to drop in for just a few, I was told this was possible, just wanted to confirm before heading down there early in the a.m. Does anyone know the info on this? Thanks
I believe Coach Flanagan said that the Morning Masters Swim would end Labor Day at Hains Point and then move to Tuckahoe. The practices start at 5:20 am and 7:00 am.
What days are the swim practices? Is there a fee to just stop in, or are stop ins even allowed?
Does anyone have information on the morning swims for this summer? I was in the group last year but somehow never made it on to the dc masters e-mail list and now I can't seem to figure out how to get on it! Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!
bumping this one last time!
Does anyone have a contact at dc masters? The e-mail on their website doesn't seem to work :(
He is one of the Masters' coaches at Chinq.
Awesome, I'll get in touch with him, and thank you again!
This town is so small, i work at the uspto as well :)
Any word on Flanagan's summer swimming at Hains Point this year? Right now, I'm guessing it'll start June 4th...
It starts on Tuesday, May 29
Does anyone have the email of the person that monitors the email group list for the HP morning swims? I participated last year, and gave her my email address to be added to the group list going forward, but I guess I was not added considering I haven't received anything about the start of the practices. Thanks
I'm not aware of an email group for Flanagan's morning masters' practices at HP. John is notoriously anti-tech, so he doesn't run any email groups. There may be email groups for some of the masters programs that routinely participate in the HP summer morning swims like DC Masters or Curl Burke. John usually announces it [verbally] at his own practices once he knows when they can start, and word seems to spread from there.
So can we just show up at HP and join? Or is there a mandatory sign up before hand? I desperately need to get in on this. What is the cost?
Yea, I'd love to join too. Ideally 2-3 days per week. Like "slowtwitchva" said, anyone know the cost or signup procedures?
Here is the info
