Club won fifth straight mid ATlantic title. Many age group and relay medals. Hillary Cairns won women's race. Winning team purse: $3,000. Strong performances under hot weather conditions.

Just wanted to give a big shout out for Uber Athlete/Volunteer/Supporter, Brian who raced the Int'l distance race in Luray and then volunteered at the NE Packet Pickup...that's dedication to Club harmony as far as I'm concerned. Also a big congrats to all who represented at NE and congrats on your win.

Ed, awesome job as usual with the race pictures! Sorry I missed it, but you guys didn't need me anyway. I love that out and back run course. Congrats on being Mid-Atlantic champs for the fifth year in a row.

Oh, I hear you, Jeanne. The reason I love that run course (heat doesn't bother me...it's all mental) is because you get to see everyone out there competing either coming or going. Plus, the water stop was manned by DC Tri. It's so motivating seeing fellow DC Tri-ers out there to cheer you and others on. -hugh

so true, hugh! I just wrote up this race and the ONLY good thing I had to say about that run course was seeing everyone along the way. so you're not totally nuts. Totally. :)

Well, technically I'm just an Uber-sorta-athlete. I didn't volunteer at NorthEast Tri, I just raced at both.
