Thought I'd get a thread started about next week's Bike to Work day next Friday May 15. You can register and get some information on the website at waba.org. There are various different events/pit stops all around the city. I'm planning on riding from the Eisenhower Metro station in Alexandria and into the city from there. If anybody is interested in joining let me know and maybe we can link up.
I am coming from the van dorn metro, and passing your way. I am leaving my house at 5:30am. If you want, I can meet you in the parking lot infront of the Metro Entrance. I might have 2-3 of my buddies joining the ride.
First time rider. Traveling from New Carrollton to the Bowie Town Center (close to where I work).
Will assemble in Old Town, then head for City Hall.
Where in Old Town and what time??
City Hall. Around 7.
Sounds good. We can rally up at 0615. I may have a few other people in tow also.
Leaving from home near Shirlington/Fairlington, via Clarendon to meet someone, then the required official breakfast stop at Rosslyn before rolling to DC.
I'll be working the REI tent at Arlington. Stop by and say 'hi' and I should have swag or coupons to give out. We'll also be helping with minor bike repairs.* Hope to see lots of you there.
* I'm saying minor because you won't believe how many people roll up on a bike they haven't taken out of the garage in years which needs major work and they think we can fix it for them that morning while they wait.
