Never done this before. How long (i.e. bike and run miles) is the "brick" part of the brick-nic?
thanks
Bike the Columbia course which is about 41 KM. Last year, I got there early and road the course twice (plus some). Run as much (or none) of the run course as you like. I suspect most people stayed within the park on the run course.
The "brick" part is whatever distance you want to go! If you want to do the full Columbia bike course, then ride that. If you want to ride the IronGirl bike course, then ride that.
There will be groups going out doing different distances at varying paces. Pick one that works best for you and for what you want to do that day.
It's entirely flexible.
Bryan
Indeed, Bryan is correct. We will provide (electronically in advance, not on-site) cue sheets for both bike courses and run options.
Hope to see you there!

Looks like I might not be able to arrive at the brick-nic before 10. This thread mentions the flexibility of the brick-nic as far as choosing distances. Does that go for starting time as well, will I still be able to get a brick workout in? Anyone else arriving late? I figure it will be 10:15-10:30 before I'd be rolling out of the park.
Also, as for what to bring, the NTP newsletter puts me in the S - Z (drinks) category but the club-wide newsletter puts me in the Rm-St (side dish - no chips) category. Which is more up to date?
Thanks
About when does the "nic" begin? When are the grills rolling?
I'm more worried about when the "nic" ends! I'd like to get a full brick in without missing the "nic" on account of a late start.
Thanks to our fabulous volunteers grills will be rolling by 10:30. My guess is nic-ing will be in full swing NLT 11:30.
Do we need to print out and bring the ticket that we got when we signed up? Thanks.
Lindsey
Hey there. Just want to clarify that the ride starts at 9:00, correct?
Hi All,
The most up to date information about the BrickNic is online here:

As far as when the picnic ENDS... well... that's hard to say! But I can bet the nicking will still be going on at 1 PM at LEAST.
Can't wait to see you all there!

@jgselim - go with the club-wide newsletter for what to bring & if I remember correctly, we were out there until about 3pm last year.....
