I'm in too
I missed the deadline to get in the run. Think I can sneak in about a mile or so in? It seems so fun!
IMPORTANT race announcement: Please note that this Sunday's Cherry Blossom 10M start time has been MOVED UP to 7:40 am! See http://www.cherryblossom.org/basics.htm for further details.
As for sneaking into the race, this is from the runner packet:
"Anybody found running without a bib number will be removed from the course."
So you can try. :) There will be 12,000 runners in a 10 mile stretch. That's one person ever 4.4 feet (1.5 yards). So it's not that hard to hide.
In. Riding bike into the 5K.
I'm meeting friends at the Museum of American History on Madison Drive (not the Constitution Avenue entrance) at 7:15 a.m., Sunday.
I'm volunteering. Looking forward to seeing all of you out there!
is there brunch afterwards? WHERE? and WHERE IS MY INVITATION?
good luck everyone!
Results are up, pretty quick turnaround. 1:12:36, got outkicked by my buddy at the line. Beautiful day/course at least though.
Great race. Great weather.
That was my first long distance run (apparently I'm lucky to see a 10 mile run as a long distance and to feel a sense of accomplishment after running "only" 10 miles). I had a great time and really enjoyed that course. The Hains Point loop was gorgeous.
I guess I could claim a PR on this race, since I've never done a 10 miler before. :)
Of COURSE you can claim a PR!
People, barney fife there came in 195/1259!!! ROCKSTAR!
Man it was a great race today, weather could not be better. I had an awesome training run. Was able to push a little, and not go out of my comfort level. We could all use more beautiful days like this
