I think the distance from the last race, which was altered because flooding, was used to calculate the times on this race. In fact its basically exact, speed for 1:00:25/26 completion time is 19.56mph for both races. The speeds for the April DU should be a bit lower.

Not that I mind being on record hauling at over 24mph for the whole race...

Thanks - I'm just the messenger. I'll let the race director, Hugh, know about this. I thought the bike times looked awfully fast considering the crazy winds that day.

Sandy, thanks for posting the results. I'll look into it tonight.

I think the run distance was using the previous weeks course too (which went through the parking lot, not the very end of the point). For what it's worth...when I did my own distance calculation, the minutes/mile on the run were about 15-20 seconds faster, and the bike was 3-3.5mph slower.

Either that, or we need to sponsor Owen to take on Cancellara....37mph, whew!
