Born to Run Book Signings

Evolution Running will be hosting the author of Born to Run for several book signings in the area.

Christopher McDougall’s Born to Run has quickly become one of the biggest running books ever published. Already number 14 on the bestseller list it is the top selling sports book in the world in 2009. McDougall will appear on Saturday, August 22 at Charm City Running in Annapolis from 9:00 to 10:30 and Charm City Running in Timonium from 12 – 1:30 pm, and at Potomac River Running in Falls Church, Virginia from 4:00 – 5:30 pm Write Info@EvolutionRunning.com with any questions
Based on the premise that running IS natural for humans, he tells an enthralling story of a unique ultradistance race, interviews scientists who shed new light on human anatomy and running, and teaches how correct running technique is crucial to healthy running.

Full of incredible characters, amazing athletic achievements, cutting-edge science, and, most of all, pure inspiration, Born to Run is an epic adventure that began with one simple question: Why does my foot hurt? In search of an answer, Christopher McDougall sets off to find a tribe of the world’s greatest distance runners and learn their secrets, and in the process shows us that everything we thought we knew about running is wrong.

With a sharp wit and wild exuberance, McDougall takes us from the high-tech science labs at Harvard to the sun-baked valleys and freezing peaks across North America, where ever-growing numbers of ultrarunners are pushing their bodies to the limit, and, finally, to the climactic race in the Copper Canyons. Born to Run is that rare book that will not only engage your mind but inspire your body when you realize that the secret to happiness is right at your feet, and that you, indeed all of us, were born to run
