Hello DC Tri Friends,
For those of you that know, and many that don't, I am the president/founder of the DC Capital Striders Running Group. We have FREE weekly runs, and weekend runs open to ALL runners regardless of pace, ability level, endurance level. If you need to log those miles, please join one of our weekly runs. They can be found on our websites - mainly through meetup.com or dccapitalstriders.com. Also, there is a Tuesday and Thursday weekly run led by Reza, at the Potomac River Running Store located in Ballston, with a new location just a few blocks away shortly.
If you have any questions about the runs, please feel free to email me at president(at)dccapitalstriders.com. As far as the trail run, I'm in. Love it.
Happy Running all of You,
I'm up for the 9:30 Kip & Patrick run and brunch (hopefully featuring bacon) too. -Mario
I'm in for the K&P 10, but will plan to start at 9 since I'm new at this trail running thing and I'm sure I'll be slower than I think. Hope someone else at roughly 10:00s will want to join me! If not, I'll see you all when you pass me along the way, and at brunch!
9:00am sounds good too (sorry, I didn't read siehndel's comment before), at the Mill.
I have run the K&P once, and I did 10'50"/mi (down from 8'20" on the street)! So you'll have company Steph
I'll be there at 9:00!
I confirmed with Jake's for Sunday Brunch and they said they'll be ready for us. I counted the people on this forum so if you plan to join us, and I hope you do, simply post here so i can update them.
Also, come with a general idea of your pace and we'll try and organize as best we can.
Great chance to do your first or "out of hibernation" event with the club!
See ya Sunday!

PS Feel free to PM me if you have any questions/concerns. ;-)
Advanced Mocha at 9.
What's the plan on brunch? Matchbox@14th? I live near UDC, and I will run to the mill. I trust there will be somebody who can give me a ride back to the area after brunch.
Mario, et al,
Plan is to hit Jake's, http://jakesdc.com/, after the run which is not too far from UDC.
In the true spirit of triathlon, we'll roll up to brunch in waves in order to not bum-rush our servers.
See you all Sunday at 9.
I'll be there at 9.
Jason and I are in for 20 miles....starting at 8 am. See you all out there!
I'm in to join Steph for the K&P starting at 9. I'm around 10 pace on trails too, I think. Brunch after for sure.
(That is, Kip&Patrick + brunch [though I don't have a ride] at 9. Will probably run to the Mill.)
I'm happy to shuttle anyone over to Jake's.
I will probably be in one of the earlier "waves" as Adam mentioned since I'm doing a measly 7 "road" miles, guessing putting me at a +/-10:15 AM finish and heading over to Jake's around 10:30 AMish.
My friend Alex and I are in for the K+P, likely joining Steph and Co.
Brady and others,
Keep in mind that Jakes' opens at 11 Sunday. You may want to start at 930 or do a longer run.
I've seen the Garmin map posted but is the K&P trail well marked? Hope for some guidance from the veterans here. Thanks!
I'm up for starting at 9 too Steph.
Still hoping to ride on Sunday, but if it snowy I will plan to run.
