I'd like to be added to the list.
another plea to anyone who can help me get to Dunn Loring.
The Metro doesn't start until 7am and it would be a 20 mile ride in a place I don't know at all.
If anyone can help with a car or early meet to ride there I can try and suit you!
It's my first weekend in DC and would like to get involved as early as possible.
I'm thinking of donig 40ish from the Hill tomorrow if anyone wants to join!
I will be biking out from Washington and Lee High School on the Custis Trail to the W&OD trail to meet the group at 7 AM. Leaving at about 6:30 AM if anyone wants to join (it's about 8 miles from W&L to the Dunn Loring Spot). I will likely turn around and head back from Herndon.

I'm in for tomorrow morning as well! Please add me to your list! Thanks!
Abby, I will meet you at W&L at 6:30, and probably turn around in Herndon.
Thanks Carrie, nice group and route.
Superfun! If you'll be riding out this way again let me know and I will hop on!
Sharon, can you send me your e-mail address?
Ed & Abby, thanks for joining! We'll be hitting the W&OD again this Saturday.
I'd like to be added to the list please and go along on Saturday.
Mind including me in the group distro as well please?

Could you add me to the list please?
Here is the e-mail I sent for this Saturday's ride. It should be a beautiful day for a long ride. As always, people are welcome to join in along the way & only do a portion of the ride. Just email me to let me know where on the W&OD to look for you.
Here we are ready to ride 90 miles this weekend. We will once again be going out on the W&OD Trail. We will start at the trail head in Shirlington & ride to the end & back for a total of 89.64 miles. To get there, take I-395 to the Shirlington exit, bear to right heading north, go to second stoplight. Turn left on South Four Mile Run Drive. The W&OD Trail will be on the right paralleling the road. You can park along the side of the road or go over to Shirlington Village & park in one of the lots there. I like the one at S. Randolph St & S. Arlington Mill Dr. Here is a map of the area: http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&complete=1&q=shirlington,+va&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.&biw=1464&bih=780&um=1&ie=UTF-8&hq=&hnear=0x89b7b69d7ba7a70f:0xf8cf6fc845f6b093,Arlington,+VA&gl=us&ei=TfkcTvqUHebm0QGZ_7XfBw&sa=X&oi=geocode_result&ct=image&resnum=2&ved=0CDgQ8gEwAQ There are plenty of great restaurants in Shirlington so we can grab lunch after if anyone is interested.
Like last week, we will leave at 6:30am sharp. As always, I will be riding at a moderate effort level, trying to maintain a 15-17mph average pace (last week we averaged 16mph).
1) In front of the BBQ restaurant (Partlow Bros. Store) at Ashburn Rd (near mile marker 27.5).
2) Turnaround at mile marker 44.5 & N. 21st St in Loudoun County (bathrooms & water fountains here)
**We usually hit a 7-11 along the trail on the way back. I can't tell you where it is. I just know it when I get there. :-)
3) Again in front of the BBQ restaurant (water fountains & bathrooms).
*any other stops (7-11, etc) requested along the way
I hope to see many of you Saturday morning!!
Anyone riding this Saturday? Maybe no posts because most are heading to Richmond. Did Rockets last summer & the James River was like a warm bath. I'm passing this year & will be looking to ride 50-75 on Sat. If interested, I'm at firstname.lastname@example.org or 703-915-4967
hey jerry, the MD region is riding tomorrow morning at 7:30am, doing RCP loop twice, so about 50 miles.
Not sure where you are coming from, but it might be a little trek to get to the start if you're not in MD... we start at http://maps.google.com/maps?q=garrett+park+road+and+beach+drive&gl=us&z=16
You're more than welcome to join us!!
I'll try to make it. 7:30 makes it a real possibility. Just need to put the bike on the rack now. Jerry
These rides will be moving to Sunday. Please see this thread for info: http://www.dctriclub.org/forum/messages.cfm?tid=882DC146-EC57-C1BD-DEC71704358039CE&page=1
Can you please add email@example.com to the list? Thanks!
Thanks, Carrie, for today's solid hill ride, especially with the added loop.
Some panic in a hurricane; others ride in it :)
