I'm tired of volunteering year after year and wishing I could do it. My swim has improved recently so I'm now considering entering. However, I have read about the swim being over crowded and of course the infamous bike packs.
Do you think they'll do a (swim) time trail format and send small groups off every 5-10 seconds like the DC Tri did last year? Should I even care cuz people are people and will complain regardless?
Having done the DC Triathlon the previous two years I think I get an idea of what it will be like. This would be my first Olympic distance event so it was either this or Giant Acorn.
Do it. I think it's fun, and it's in your back yard.

My guess is it will be a time trial like DC but either way I would say do it. Did it last year even though the swim was canceled and the bike course was packed, it was still a fun race.
And Nations will have a smaller number of participants than it did the last 2 years. It's fun to race in our home town!
