Bike and Brew
POSTED: 6/05/14 10:48 AM

The Bike Rack along with Right Proper Brewing, Sticky Fingers Bakery and Off Road Cycling Studio is hosting our second "Bike and Brew" party Thursday night at Right Proper. As part of the fun and festivities, we will be hosting "Goldsprints" which is 2 stationary (non-moving) track bikes, hooked up to a computer and projecting results on a big screen. Using elimination rounds, two people sprint for 30 seconds.

We want to have a team challenge involving Bike Rack Multisport, Bike Rack Racing, Team Sticky Fingers and the DC Tri Club. Keep in mind that even though you are racing for your team, this is an individual challenge and the overall winner (male and female categories) will determine the winning team. The cost to participate is $5 (one time entry fee regardless how many rounds you win). The proceeds will fund all future TBR community events, such as Commuter Coffee, Women's specific rides and clinics and mechanical race support at your races (yes, that's in the works).

If you would like to participate, please send Chuck an email with your name as you would like it to appear and which team you are on. Please send it to: chuck@bikerackdc.com by Wednesday at 5:00 pm. This ensures that we will have the brackets set up ahead of time, and that the event will run smoothly. Bring your team jersey and your $5 and join us, bike shoes are not needed as the pedals are flats with toe straps. We hope to see you there and on a bike!

I know I got this out late.... sorry. :( But maybe they'll make an exception for our awesome club members.
