Good way to prep for Performance Bikes spin sessions, or to pile up bike miles for Club Challenge. L/r forecast looks mild if a bit damp:
"Hi there, I’m Megan and I’m going to be riding around Hains Point loop for 100 miles. I’m doing this to raise awareness and funds for the Washington Area Bicycling Association’s Women & Bicycles program. Come join me for a day of food, festivities, and fun!
Last year, I had a crazy idea. I was going to ride 100 miles around the Hains Point 3-mile loop on a cold December day. Why? Because I wanted to raise awareness and funds for the Washington Area Bicycling Association’s Women & Bicycles program. I deeply believe that getting more women on bikes will make DC a better place for everyone.
I asked the cycling community to join me on that cold December day and the results were beyond my wildest dreams. We had over 100 riders join me throughout the day as well as other friends and supporters that hung out at the pit stop. We had contests, giveaways, hand-ups, freebies from generous sponsors and food.
I’m doing the ride again this year. And, I know it’s going to be bigger and better!
I hope you can join me for part-of or the whole ride. All skill levels, bike types and all ages are invited to come out and ride the loop.
Be sure to visit www.HainsPoint100.com for details and to let me know you're coming (or donating!)"
