Online Registration opens April 1, 2010
One of the best races in D.C.
I'll be there with you.
Glad to see the USN will be representing.
Sure you can do our race, Squids :)
Good to hear from you again, old friend
Our race? Simon I thought you were in the Cost Guard? No? It's good to be back, this is one of my favorite races.
Count me in on this one. This race is awesome. Hopefully with last years performance I will get a little closer to the starting line and not have to zig zag like I am under fire.
I wish I was in the USCG. Their bases are so nice and they do cool missions. But instead I was in Army base swamps yay. What do you mean you are back?
Bump - ATM Registration begins tomorrow, 1 April, and last year sold out in 6 days.
Travis and Lawrence,
What do you think, we should be up there in the corals. Shall we race again, this time shoot for a 1:05??
I like the sound of that. In and IN.
As hubby said he's not racing this year, I decided I needed to register to represent the family. Now I need to train to keep up with the two of you. Brunch afterwards?
Brunch afterwards always... Same place as last year? Will have Angie and my little Boogie on stand by.

Wow! That race fills up so fast! Glad I registered yesterday!
See you all out there, although I won't be running as fast!

That was fascinating...
I can't believe they sold out that quickly! I missed getting a spot this year.
Major bummer - meant to sign up but too busy at work...
There's a formal number transfer process between May 1 and Sept. 3. That will give you plenty of opportunities to get into the race. Check the official website for more details starting on May 1. You'll probably have to pay a small administrative fee but it shouldn't be that much.
The official website also mentions that people sell their numbers on Craigslist and eBay. They don't seem to discourage that but I think you would have to formalize the transaction on the official website. I'm guessing that some people might sell their numbers on this forum too.
If you really want to get into the race, I think you're chances will be good.
RJ and others, you are not missing much. This race has gotten so huge that running a ten mile race with 25K+ others around you is insane. Personnally, I think it's okay for marathon distances, but that's a good number of people out there for just ten miles. I recall back when I was in the Army I ran the 3rd & 5th annual races and those races had less than 5K people.
Maybe I am getting too old or maybe I just prefer the low key races that have that home-town feel. Kind of like the grass roots of running.
