Hi All! Obvi, these are done for the season. Sorry for the delayed post.
That being said... who's up for a ride on Monday??
GTown to the T?
Still planning to ride? I'm looking to get in 50-75 miles on Monday.
Hey all! J
ust wanted to touch base that I am monitoring the weather closely to start up the Thursday Morning Poursuivant for 2013 (aka, the "Hains Point A- Ride"). Tomorrow is a definite no, but 4/4 has a non-zero probability. I will keep you posted.
The probability of the TMP riding this Thursday is about 60%. I'm checking the forecast; if it is warmer than 45 in the morning, I'm likely to be out there. I think Pam is out there this week, too.
My plan has 75 minutes in Z2, so that's not a bad way to start the TMP!
I'll be out there at 6:30 for some Z2 excitement, I get to throw in some one legged drills too!
I was out there this morning... it was awesome!
I will ride this Thursday, 4/11, at the tennis courts parking lot/lamppost, clipping in at 6:30.
In for Thurs morning. See you at 6:30 am.
The TMP will ride tomorrow!
I will be at the lamppost (parking lot near the tennis courts). If you are new to the ride, please come for a quick chat at 6:25. Clips in at 6:30.
Plan tomorrow is one long loop warm up, 4 short loops with pickups gate to gate (so about an 8-minute z3 pickup), and a long loop cool down.
If you have no idea what any of that means, be sure to be there at 6:25. :)
See you then!
Also, for those new to the ride: we will likely do some paceline work and I will provide guidance on how to do that. (Don't stress!!)
It is helpful to have a bike computer that shows MPH so that you can keep the pace when you are at the front.
You will eventually have a turn at the front (Don't stress!!). Only stay there as long as you can hold the pace without completely blowing your steam. Don't get dropped right after pulling because you stayed there too long.
Please specifically read rules #59, #62, #67, #83, #86, and #88. And as always, #5.
Anyone interested in a B-ride tomorrow... I will see you all out there tomorrow for some z2 and z3 action. Bundle up.
Did an easy spin around the point... all was flooded and we got kicked out. Not sure how that bodes for the AM... I am still planning to be out there at 6:30, but it might be weird Lincoln Loops.
I'm planning to ride Thursday morning.
Clip-in at 6:30 am at the lamppost in the Hains Point tennis court parking lot.
Abby is out this week and next but the rides go on!
There were 5 of us out there this morning. See the rest of you next week...weather permitting!
In for tomorrow. Clip-in at 6:30 am in the tennis court parking lot.
I will be there tomorrow, as well, but a tad earlier (BOO!) as I have a long brick to get in.
I will be starting a 90' ride at 6:00 AM as follows:
Warm up easy 15-20' at z2 (one long loop),
4 x 8' z3 (gate to gate short loops)
Cool down (one long loop)
I"m not expecting a crowd at 6:00, so I will just get started. If you want to ride with me let me know to look for you. Ride backwards around the point if you arrive between 6:00 and 6:30.
Yay early light!
In, early. I will be there at 6!
Post from the A grip ride... Adjust accordingly
Plan for tomorrow is 4x11min efforts... Starting at 25mph, then 26,27,&28. This is with ~4 min recovery in between.
This is given it doesn't rain. Interval starts at the golf course parking lot gate and should get us back to the river side gate on the long loop.
Hopefully see you in the morning!
