GoPro video for biking
POSTED: 2/06/12 10:57 AM

Has anyone tried out the GoPro video camera on their bike or helmet? Would be interested in what people think about it, how long the battery lasts, ease of use, mounting to helmet and handle bars, editing video post ride, etc. Thanks in advance-

Mount it to your bike. On a helmet the footage will be much more bouncy, and you'll get weird looks from people confusing you for a teletubby.

I've heard good things about both the GoPro and the CountourHD for bike use. The Contour is sleeker from the front, if you care about any sort of aero factors.

Editing footage in to something people want to watch will take way more time than your actual ride, so take that in to account.

Does anyone have experience editing the video on Mac?
Also, would someone be willing to let me test drive a unit for a day?
