Echoing Hugh, thank you in advance for volunteering and cheering us on. However unlike Hugh, I am just hoping to get out of the water before the cutoff!
Heads up to all Volunteers... remember that info I sent earlier that included a line about the Special Needs bags needing to be laid out by 10:15? Yes that does apply to us. Our group needs to have the bags laid out by 10:15. So if you were planning on rolling it right at 10 or 10:30... you might want to give yourself some extra time on Saturday morning, as long as that's doable.
Thanks and see you there!
does anyone coming up have a spare size sm or m sleeveless wetsuit? That the first of a few things I've forgotten. Can return right after the race, or in dc. agh. carol
I have a sleeveless wetsuit that is a Medium I believe (fits me and I am 5'2'' size 8. I am not leaving DC area until right before the swim on Sat. If you know of someone leaving tomorrow I can bring it with me to work (I work in Chinatown) and do a hand-off. You can also e-mail my at email@example.com.
Catherine, what is your phone #? I can call you before I leave tomorrow. Carol, send me your # as well. If I'm able to get the wetsuit I'll call you.
So... If anyone plans on sharing my tent let me know. If not I'm only bringing a 1-man tent. So it'll be too late to tell me when you get there. :)
Thanks for the offer but we coordinated a pick-up of the wetsuit with a friend of hers tomorrow morning. See you early Sat!
Kevin, thanks for the kind words, but my left shoulder might not agree with you.
Is there anyone who may need a bed to crash please send me a message. I have an extra bed at the EconoLodge in Easton. (no charge).
huge thanks to ihan and catherine (and nik for offering to help!). i think i'm sorted;)
HUGE THANKS to all of you for your amazing athlete support yesterday. You were all incredible! DC Tri truly is full of the best people that our sport has to offer, and the club is lucky to have you and grateful for what you do for the sport and its' athletes. I look forward to the next event!
Thanks to everyone who volunteered and supported. Bike special needs was awesome - especially the DCT vol who held my bag for me whose name I didn't get!
