Pardon the use of Internet acronyms, but OMG:
I am 29 years old and just found out that I don't know how to tie my shoes properly. I have always wondered why I have to use double knots to prevent my shoes from untying.

If you're in the same boat as me, the video recommends reversing what you do in Step 3, though I am finding it easier to reverse Step 1 instead.
And with no further need to tie double knots, I expect to shave a full 2 seconds off my T2 time!
Switch to elastic laces - then you can have a fast transition without having to learn how to tie your shoes.
i have to admit that is pretty cool the instructional video never knew the difference btwn the knots.
well at least now i can tie my shoe laces straight and they will now look very cool.
