Registration open. Popular, hilly, well-supported ride; various distances up to 100 clicks:

Do you know if you register for one tour like the 65 and then changeto the 102 - if this is allowed after registration.

Just register for the 102, then ride whatever distance you want.

Thanks - got an email from the organizer confirming same. Have you done this before? Seems pretty happy go lucky and informal? yes?

There are seasoned triathletes using it to train hard, newbies trying to do a metric or full century for the first time, and others out simply on an excursion. Can begin at 7 am or late in the morning, and pause at the rest stops for as long or as little as you wish. You are free to make of it what you will.

Did it last year but got turned around a bit. I suggest looking at the cue sheets because the course criss-crosses. Thinking of doing this as part of my IMoo training as it's 3 weeks out.

Same day as the final training tri. Two nice options for that weekend. Many newbies/NTPers have made this their first long supported ride:

The 29th Annual Reston Century will take place on Sunday, August 21, 2011 - rain or shine - starting and finishing at the Reston Town Center Pavilion.

Riders can select from routes of approximately 34, 65, and 103 miles. The challenging Century, and Metric routes follow beautiful rolling rural roads through scenic historical towns such as Hamilton, Purcellville, Round Hill, Waterford, and Taylorstown. The Half-Metric is relatively flat. The rides are fully supported with rest stops and food, bike mechanics, and SAG vehicles.

Anyone else doing it?
