Our Masters Swim Program Expands!
For those who missed the big announcement at the Kona Party, DC Tri Club has secured additional pool space for our masters swim program!

We are happy to announce a partnership with the University of the District of Columbia (UDC) to offer morning swim sessions. This builds on our successful evening program at the Wilson Aquatics Center, currently sold-out through the end of 2012.

Join DC Tri Club's Master Swim Program at UDC
Join us at UDC on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings from 5:45-6:45 A.M. for our introductory one-month session, November 14 through December 19.

Morning sessions will be held at the newly renovated UDC Natatorium - Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. The pool is open - just for us - from 5:30 A.M. to 7:00 A.M. Practice starts promptly at 5:45 A.M. and lasts an hour, allowing you to cool down on your own until 7.

About the DC Tri Club’s Masters Swim Program
We are a triathlon-specific masters swim program run by triathletes and for triathletes. This means our practices emphasize triathlon-related swimming goals, such as open water technique drills and endurance freestyle sets. Moreover, with a high ratio of coaches to swimmers, compared to other masters programs in the region, our coaches are uniquely positioned to provide you with immediate and consistent feedback each session.

Whether your goal is to complete your first triathlon or challenge the elites at the front of the pack, our program will build your confidence, endurance, and speed in the water through:

- On-deck coaching services,
- Structured workouts, and
- Dedicated pool space.

About the UDC Pool
The UDC Natatorium is a 25-yard, 6-lane pool, located at 4200 Connecticut Avenue, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20008.

The ENTIRE pool is reserved for our morning masters program.

It is just 3 blocks from the Van Ness/UDC metro stop on the Red line. There is metered and free neighborhood parking within walking distance from the pool.

How to Sign Up -- PLUS, a Free Trial Practice
We are still in the process of setting everything up, but registration through the DC Tri Club website’s Shop will open on Nov 5th. Email us at if you want to be one of the first to have any additional details.

The cost for our introductory one-month session (11/14-12/19), which includes all pool entrance fees, is $90 for all workouts (MWF). For $25, join us only on Friday mornings (4 sessions). Note that the pool will be closed on Friday, November 23.

We are also offering a FREE swim session to anyone interested. Just email us to reserve your spot.

One More HUGE Freebie: Club-Wide Swim Practice at UDC
Try out our new UDC pool digs for a free coach-led swim on Saturday, November 17, 8-10 A.M. We'll start off with an overview of the workout, allow you to warm up and then do an hour-long set. Our coaches on deck will provide feedback on stroke mechanics along the way. There will be extra time at the end of practice for us to answer questions and for you to get in a little extra time in the water. Space is limited, so reserve your spot ASAP through this link:

Any chance to have a once a week option for Mon or Wed, especially as some of us have signed up for Wilson on Fridays only?

Unfortunately not at this time - we are working on a more flexible scheduling system, but it's not ready to be unveiled yet.
