Does anyone know of any local, supported 20-mile runs this weekend?
I know of one in Fredericksburg, but it might be difficult to get to.
DC Road Runners had their 20 miler on Sunday; date coincides with most training programs for MCM (4 weeks out).
I'd suggest doing SLR as they're planning on running 20 on the CCT and you'll hit water fountains 4 times. Gatorade and water bonus if a volunteer has or will step up to provide mid-run beverages.
Yes, I'm behind. I'm aware. Thanks for reminding me. :P
In Harwood, MD there is the Metric Marathon (16.3 miles) sponsored by the Annapolis Striders. The course has some hills at miles 12-14. I've done this race many times, but this year some of my runners and I are manning one of the water stops. Registration is ten dollars on race day. Website is www.annapolisstriders.org
Sorry for the re-post.
The DC Road Runners Marathon Program is running 22 from GTown Running Co on Saturday. I've run with them once before and they are a nice bunch. A friend is one of the coaches so I could try and hook you two together if you're interested.
Thanks, all! Adam, that's a great option. Joyce, tell me more! abby.sanford19 at yahoo
Hugh... Thanks, but not far enough!
All of Potomac Runners Saturday runs are water-supported, and some will be going long this weekend for marathon training. They start from Belle Haven in Alexandria.
Pacers- Logan Circle has a 20 miler, as well as several other supported runs, this weekend, too. Are you also training for MCM? Good luck!
