Yep. They probably sent too many spam emails to Andy and pissed him off. :)
This version of the URL has been working though: http://nationstri.com/home.html. For some reason the address with the "www" in front of it is the suspicious version.
Nope, the one without 'www' also does not work this morning.
For what it's worth - yesterday I clicked on the link that bcfrank provided above and just had a bad feeling about it while the page was loading. I closed out before it finished loading, but had a feeling my computer was hacked. Sure enough it was. It wasn't fun booting up my computer to see links to trojan.exe files and porn websites.....on my work computer.
Who knows if it was just a chance thing for me but be careful.
Now it all makes sense... My work computer got a trojan virus after checking the Nations Tri website and it didn't make sense to me then cuz I had some other websites open at the same time. They had to wipe out my entire profile since I had several porn icons on my screen, on a federal work computer...
I let Sally over at WSEM (event producer) know about this thread. Her response: "We're aware of it and are feverishly working to fix it. Unfortunately it's not a quick fix."
Hrm. I saw that, but then went and typed the address in anyways figuring it was some sort of mistake. Guess I'll have to do some heavy computer cleaning on my home PC. Thanks for the heads up.
It will all depend on your firewalls and antivirus software. I was checking that site regularly (to make sure the links I was putting in emails and posts were viable) and my computer didn't get hit by anything.
Thank you antivirus! :)
It appears to be back in order. I also noticed the bike course is changed since the last time I was able to visit. They didn't get permits for the GW Parkway apparently, and are back on the Clara Barton.
