There's a group heading out to Cambridge this Saturday, May 8, to ride the Eagleman course.
About the ride:
Not supported or sponsored by the club, it's just a group of folks heading out to ride. Last time we had several pace groups.
Start location: Great Marsh Park, Cambridge (Google it or check the Columbia Triathlon Association's Eagleman 70.3 website for a map. It's a very small parking lot, the group should be easy to find.)
Start time: Clip in at 8:30 am
Ride: 56 windy miles (If you'd like a cue sheet, check the Eagleman website for one. The course is well marked.)
Option: Refill water bottles at the cars and then ride the 13.1 mile run course for extra milage
Another option: Short run after
Note: Right now the weather says there's a chance of rain, and as of right now, we're still planning to ride. If the forecast gets too bad, we might change the idea. If so, we'll post here.
Who is in?
I have a soccer game at noon on Saturday so I was planning on riding the EM course followed by a short run on Sunday (which I know is Mother's Day)... if folks want to maybe join... let me know. Company definitely provides motivation! =)
In for Saturday!
In. Anyone want to carpool?
In. Raingear already in my trunk.
Would anybody be able to give me a lift from the Hill? I would split gas, or bribe in any other way. :) Thanks!
In, with an out of town guest. Aerobars in place for the expected wind.
Bella Luna in Cambridge sounds like another good place for lunch.
Karen: Thanks for organizing these rides.
(And for orchestrating the 35 mph wind and the heat, to simulate the true EagleMan experience...)
