For many of us the area around Lake Placid will always have a special place in our hearts. Being the location of the second oldest Ironman in North America, the beautiful Adirondacks have seen many of us become Ironmen, and I’m sure many more hope to hear the magic “You are an Ironman” right where Olympic legends and Miracles on Ice were made.
As you probably know, that area was devastated by the rains caused by Hurricane Irene. The towns of Keene and Jay, right on the IM course, were particularly hit hard and they need all the help they can get.
To make a donation on line to Keene:
For Upper Jay, which was hit even worse than Keene - you can mail in a donation:

Anything that you could do to help will go a long way. This is an economically depressed area to begin with and most people were struggling before this natural disaster occurred.
So, thanks very much for any support you might be able to give.
