Sounds like the race is on a really beautiful course And for a good cause! I would totally do this, but since it is 2 weeks after Nations, I don't think I'll be up for it.

I am doing this race, along with a few others who are not DC Tri members. I have not done the race before, but have heard good things.

Definitely! Steph, did we meet at the brick last Saturday? There were two Steph's there, so I am thinking we may have.

Yes! I was the other Steph (not the one you biked with!) We can chat at the pasta party tomorrow too! See you in Philly!

This is the one race that I never miss ever year - it's for a great cause and Columbia Tri (Vigo) does a great job with it.

It's at the end of beach season and so it's not that crowded down there and easy to get a place to stay.

It's a smaller race - I'd say around 600. The course is fast and flat. The bike course was redesign a few years ago so it no longer runs along the windy Coastal Hwy. It is an ocean swim, but it always goes in the direction of the current (N>S or S>N), so it can be a fast swim too.

It would be great to get a good DC Tri contingent out there and also would be a good tune up for Myrtle.

Have thought about this race, but signed up for the Half Full the following weekend - with race advantage of sleeping in my own bed.
