This was a great race in some tough conditions! Thanks to Ryan and the rest of the DC Tri support squad for making my first 70.3 weekend really memorable! Race recap soon...

LOVED that race - it was the best triathlon I've done. I know they couldn't control the thunder and the monsoon, but aside from that I have no complaints. They really put on a good show. My race report is online:

Great race report. Congrats on the great finish. :) I actually marked the run course at exactly 13.1 miles on my Garmin with the mile markers being before the actual distance. The big discrepancy I had was on the bike course. My Garmin marked that one as close to 57 miles. I wonder if anyone else got that.

But agreed, that was a great course and a incredibly well put on. The volunteers were troopers standing out there in the downpour. And every one of them was happy to be there helping out. Jeff put on a great race. I would definitely do this one again.

Yup. My Garmin said 13.1 for the run... but the 13th mile marker was at 12.85 :) Bike says 56.9

I had an awesome race experience. And I would take torrential rains on the bike in return for cool half-marathon weather every day of the week!

Also, it was probably the most organized and most "community-based" triathlon I have participated in. Quite a well-run show.

Kevin
