I'm in.

It's sad that the 2009 is barely half over and I'm already planning my 2010 race schedule.... :)

Did anybody notice that when it showed you your application so that you could preview it before submitting it blanked out your projected swim time? I went back and fixed it and resubmitted, but it was still blanked out. Not sure why that happened, but I am registered (even if I don't have a projected swim time)

It also had blanked out whether this was your first long distance race or not. I just let it slide. I'm paid and registered, if they have a problem that it's blank, they can just message me. :)

As for mid Sept/Oct HIMs: Savageman, Augusta, or Austin come to mind.

Another mid-September HIM - Patriot's Half in Williamsburg. It's not an IM branded race, but it's relatively close to DC.

Last weekend of Sept in NJ for those planning their 2010, 2011, and 2012 race schedule ... you know who I'm talking about :) Sprint and 70.3 distances only ... no oly.

http://www.njmultisport.com/RV.htm

I'm doing it this year and probably will do it next year if I decide to do IMFL again.

Eagleman: half of me wants to save that money so that I can feed the homeless, half of me do not want to sign up on the same day as all of the type A's who have already signed up, and half of me just wants something to eat.

Wow, that's a lot of $$$. Prefer to save up for a tri bike!

Pretty much all M-Dot HIM's are the same price (~250). You'd have to go for a non IM-branded race to get cheap entry fees.

And Tuan, that's a lot of halves there. You sure the math works out? :)

Eagleman is open and about half full.

Get it while it's hot.

Vertical Swimmer,

thanks for the heads up about the September race. I fully expect you to help me plan for my next 3 seasons... and I'm not talking over time, I'm talking in the next 2 weeks. I have to know what I'll be doing in 2011 or I won't be able to sleep at night. :-)

Speaking of NJ, it looks cool and if you like it this year let me know, the timing looks good (depending on which fall marathon I do). Not to mention, the name rocks, how could anyone not want to do "Belly of the Beast?"

Please do EM again. Suzuki and I will need your love and support during the training rides and on race day (provided we are riding in front of you now that you have mastered a new skill on the Vamborghini). It just won't be the same without you there counting buoys race morning.

xoxo
