Hey all, weather forecast is looking pretty gosh darn nice for Sat morning. I'm looking at starting at G'town for the roll-thru at 730 and going to Sugarloaf. Would love some company for most if not all of the ride. Last LONG ride for IMoo so I'm thinking around 112.
See ya out there.
- Adam
PS If anyone wants to do a short run after, lmk. ;-)
I'm interested in an 80 mi ride to Sugarloaf and back, so I'd join you for most of the ride, Adam.

Unfortunately, I have to work this Saturday. So unless anyone wants to put your ride off until 1:00pm, I'm out.
That sounds more pleasant than what I have planned:
a 40 minute interval mixed into about a ride that's supposed to last about 2.5. hrs.
If anyone wants to be a part of that, I'm planning to go out to the T, ramping up the pace after the reservoir until we get to the T (skipping mountain gate) and then spinning on the way back home.
Skipping Mountain Gate? Why would you do that? If anything it's a great way to pace yourself across all types of terrain. I'll also be headed out at 7 from the Hill. Depending on the group and pacing, I'm looking to go to Poolesville (75 from the hill). If we go out too hard then maybe only to the T.
Eric,
Is the route to poolesville and back about 60 from Gtown? I'll ride out there with you as long as the group doesn't get all antsy in their pantsy on the way out McArthur.
Wes
From G-town I think it's about 62-65 miles round trip.
Hey guys,
If you are looking to mix things up a little bit, I just signed up for the Church Creek TT on the Eastern Shore of MD for next weekend, Aug. 20. More info HERE »
There looks to be at least a small contingent of DC Tri folks heading out there and it should be a fun way to put all of your SAT Ride bike fitness to the test.

Looks like tomorrow morning is gearing up to be a beeeaauuutiful morning for a ride to poolesville.... Who's coming with me?????
I have family in town so it'll be ab early and rather short ride for me- starting at 6a from the hill. Going by G-town around 6:20a. Let me know if anyone is interested to join.
I'm interested in a Poolesville ride, but I have a noon commitment. When do you think we will be back?
Travis
I am up for leaving whenever. If we leave Gtown at 7, we can be back at before 11, even with the usual stops. Any other takers?
I'd be interested in a Poolesville ride tomorrow. What's the pace?
Leaving Gtown at 7 sounds great. I'm interested in a pace on the faster side.
Travis
7:00 seems much earlier than 7:30, so I'm a maybe. If there is a group leaving the Hill at 7:00ish and rolling through G-town at 7:30, please post.
Liz (and others):
Pace can be a tricky question because it varies widely depending on who shows up. We would love for more riders to join the Saturday ride so more paces are represented. That is best accomplished by posting to this thread.
The past few weeks have been "spirited."
Needing to do a shakedown cruise of 60-70 clicks on my brand-new Scattante carbon, I am more than willing to "represent" a somewhat less-challenging group, and hope to see some other B/BB-paced riders tomorrow.
Great, thanks Mosered, I'll be there! I would pick up at the G-town location.
Is the GTown location M and Wisconsin?
I tried to make it a couple of weeks ago but got there about 2 minutes late so missed the 7.30 start. I was gutted as I'd ridden 20miles to get to the start!
I'll be up for a slightly lower pace and will try and make it if someone can clarify the time and place.
Thanks.
Yes, the GT location is Wisconsin and M, in the parking lot of the Bank with the Golden Dome.
What about a 7 am start, so we can say hello to the A group, waste them going up the hill, then take mercy and let them pass?.....
Thanks,
I'd probably rather start a touch later, but if it's 7, then 7 it is. I'll see you then.
Cheers.
