I plan on being out at the G-town pickup at 7am. Got some stress to sweat out.
Is anyone interested in putting your hard training to work and doing the Annapolis Bay Country Century Ride?
This looks like one of the few fall centuries I can actually do and I'm partial to riding along the Chesapeake.
If there is sufficient interest I'll start a separate thread.
Also, I should have added that this is in two weeks on Saturday, Sept. 3.
Travis, the century ride sounds fun and all, but that weekend begins my taper for Vegas, so I'm out unfortunately.
Is anyone planning on challenging Irene this weekend and pushing out to poolesville? We can pretend like we are racing a hurricane, it will be fun, promise...
I'm planning a long ride on Saturday, so Poolesville suits me. Will it be a 7 or 7.30 start?
Start time depends largely on where you plan on starting from. I want to leave Gtown at 7:30. Tried 7 last week and it didnt work out so well for me.
Wes and All, though I'd prefer 7a @gtown, 7:30 @gtown works for me. I'm just planning to head out to Oaklyn and finish up on the Arlington hills to round it out to 2 hours. I've got an hour brick in store after that.

So is it just Wai, Brady, and Me this weekend? Everyone else hiding from Irene?
I'll be joining you as well. Rolling from the hill at 7:10a. Depending on my schedule looking to go to the T or Poolesville.
I'm in for the hill to the T at 7:10a as well.
I'm in for Poolesville. 7:10 from Hill, 7:30 G-town.
See you Saturday.
Travis, you just hit your 700th post! As a prize, you get to pull all day on Saturday, congrats!
I am in for Poolesville. See you at guys at G-town at 7:30. Last I read, the storm allegedly would be developing later, we will see. Glad other folks are going to brave it out
I'll see you at G'Town for 7.30 start.
I'll probably be bringing along another tri-er too.
If she rolls in early, we can race Irene home.
I'll meet up at the bank, assuming I don't oversleep and miss it again. I'm in for as long as people are willing to pull me.
In. To the T, probably...
Man, that was a steady ride today! Thanks for the pull. Here's the info according to my Garmin. I wish I had lapped it so that we had the avg. speed round trip to the reservoir. Including the city riding, 18.5 avg. is about as fast as I've done it in a while.

I hope the P-ville group makes it back without getting too wet.
Thanks for the info Travis, and great ride today! Max speed was 72 mph??
Those ominous clouds were a powerful motivator. Nice job, guys!
I got soaked AND dropped on the way back from Poolesville, to add insult to injury. Good pace though. Thanks.
