Anyone riding this weekend?

Id like to ride this weekend, but probably cant make it until later on saturday (afternoon) or sunday morning.

I'm in for Saturday. If 8:30 is pickup time in Georgetown, that's when I'll be there. Riding down from Silver Spring... will have at least two others riding down with me. Doing 60... so going to the T... on the way back, heading back to Silver Spring... turning left at Oaklyn/Persimmon Tree. According to the plan, I'm supposed to push the pace so we'll see how it goes...

Great group last week so let's keep it going. If you aren't sure of the pace, post your desired speed so you know who will be out there.

One note, in the interest of safety, no riding in aero bars in a pace line. A couple folks were down in the bars last week and it can get a little squirrely in a pack of riders. If you want to ride aero, just drop off the back a little or get to the front and pull the train. (To those that I talked to last week, thanks for being understanding. I appreciate it!)

The other thing I might suggest is that if we have a group of 25+ riders, lets split into 2-3 different groups based on speed. Cars get a little peeved when they have to try to pass all 30 of us. I'm not sure why because we all look great in spandex but you know, people who drive cars are weird.

Anyone interesting in starting a little later in the day from the McArthur Blvd area? Say 9 am? I'm trying to get in around 50 miles at 20-21 mph and will probably go up north of potomac a bit. Let me know

Went on my first ride as a new member (with the Wisconsin and M st group). Had a blast until I broke a spoke, but finished and got to the nearest bike shop for a quick repair. Excited to join the community.

Same times for this weekend? Depart Capitol Hill around 0800 and through Georgetown around 0830?

I'm in for Saturday. Looking to get in 50 so plan to head out to the T and back.

Depending on what the lead group is doing, I may drop off the back and not burn up MacArthur. I'm looking for more of a steady state ride without crushing my legs in the first 10 miles.
