Ryan,
There are a few of us rolling out of DC at 6:15 heading up the Poolesville route. Probably slower than you, but will see you out there. You're more than welcome to join. Riding 5 hours.
Not a bad morning's work everyone. Great group out this morning and perfect weather.

Anyone riding this Saturday?
I'm planning on it but am a B group person. Anyone other B groupers want to roll out from Georgetown at 7:30? I'm planning to do 50.
There is a huge group heading out to Deep Creek this weekend - I'll be out there enjoying the elevation.
And then I think that I am out every Saturday in June due to racing and vacationing and Total 200. I'll be back in July ready to get my ass kicked fully.
I would if it weren't for the horde of family coming into town now that we live in a tourist destination. That's why I'm hoping to hop onto the Mem Day Skyline ride.
I'm in... will have at least one more coming down from Silver Spring... looking to go out to the T. My buddy may be "A" group... but I sure ain't. -- TJ
I'm getting in on the monday Skyline ride as well, so Saturday might be an easier pace to the T with a short run after. I'll ride with the B group either at 7:30 or 8
I'm in for 7:10 from the hill. Looking to go about 100. If people are going to Poolesville, I will ride with them and do some extra miles before or after.
I am in for 100 as well. I'll catch the 7:30 out of Georgetown. I'll probably do two loops in Poolesville and finish whatever is left at Hains Point at the end.
Awesome HolliMarie! How fast you looking to go. Last couple of times I have gone out that way I end up around 17.1 for the round trip.
Anyone else in for a long ride to start the weekend? The more miles you ride the more beer you can drink later!
John
That sounds about right. I did 80 on the Poolesville route last week and was right around there for the round trip.
I'll meet in Georgetown at 7:30. I'm only doing 50... I'm B group-ish. Definitely not A.
I'll roll out with the B group from Gtown at 7:30, but I am turning at the T. Also, my intent for Saturday was to get a long solo (no drafting) ride in on my TT bike so I can pull the group to the T if that's ok with everyone. Pace should be about 20 mph average.
A couple of us from the C-Group will be joining -- at about a B pace, according to this page: http://www.potomacpedalers.org/?page=rideclasstable
Is the "B group = 20 mph average" a DCTri thing?
Speed varies week to week depending on who shows up. I would say the table you reference is pretty good.
Last time I did the short ride (great falls and back) with the A group my average was about 18mph. But on McArthur on the way out it is typical to be in a paceline going 22-24+
Last time I did the B ride we averaged about 17 on the McArthur flat. In other words, there is a wide range of speeds so don’t worry too much about getting dropped.
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention before, I will be skipping the hills on the way out and instead hit up the French bakery in Great Falls to stock up for the rest of the ride. Any orders? I get the chocolate croissant and the bacon and cheese baguette.
I'm coming down from Silver Spring with two others... be in Georgetown at 7:30 am... heading to the T. -- TJ
Well, its about time for roll call. What say you?

I'm planning on doing the training tri, then a ride after - most likely 3+ long loops around HP with intervals worked in.
I'm in for a B group ride to the T, assuming its not still raining.
