So what's the plan this Sat??? I don't suppose there are any other B-groupers looking for 100+ this week?
What time is the B group meeting on Sat on the hill? Is it still 7:10am?
This is recovery week for me - so just looking to ride out the T and back.
For those looking to mix it up a bit, there's a group of us planning to head out for a Skyline Ride this weekend so see that post if you are interested and not doing Grand Fondo.
I know that I had originally posted about the Church Creek TT, but won't be doing that since it's a ~2 hr drive for a 40K TT and didn't get a lot of interest.

Just wondering if anyone is planning to go out this Saturday or are all ya'll doing Total 200?
I know there are about 330+ riders and a ton of volunteers going to Total 200. Thanks for all the support and volunteers - see you out there.

Hey Catharine - It sounds like at least a couple B groupers are going, including myself. See you then.
I believe the golf tournament is this weekend. Assuming you avoid Persimmon Tree, is there an issue w/traffic riding out that way this weekend? Thanks! Andrea
@Andrea - from what I recall, even with the US Open last year, Permission wasn't that bad early in the AM (~9ish). But I'd guess if you're going all the way to the T you may want to avoid Permission Tree.
Any "A" riders not doing TL200 and planning to get a shorter ride in? I'm shooting for a quick 90 minute ride (regular G-Town => Great Falls ride), picking up to race pace for the last 30 minutes, then a 20 min Z2/3 run. Planning to brick from AZ & MacArthur.
-Brady
that would be perfect for me, but I need to find a sitter.
In for the A group, although I may just let you go when you decide to bump it up to race pace. I'm not going to do the brick, so will join the group in G'Town per the normal schedule.

What time are folks leaving G-Town tomorrow?
I work in Potomac and rode Persimmon Tree yesterday w/no issues. There's parking and a limo/taxi drop off spot for the golf course between Oaklyn and the bridge over the beltway, so there's some increased car and foot traffic in that area. Probably expect heavier traffic around the BP intersection tomorrow as well, but otherwise most of the traffic mess for Congressional is on River Rd between Potomac and the beltway. Ben
I'd like to get in on the A-ride tomorrow morning. Shorter distance is okay with me as I'll be riding up from Alexandria to meet the group so I'll already be adding on about 20 miles to overall ride.
Anybody else want to meet up from Alexandria (anywhere along the Vernon Trail) on the way to meet up in G-town?
Good deal.
I'll plan to meet you all in G'toan at 0730 for the "A" ride roll-out.
@Ben: We generally meet in the bank parking lot at Wisc & M at 0730 in the summer, but check here weekly as sometimes the group leaves later or earlier depending on peoples training schedules.
@Jimmy: we often have a few coming from Alexandria, but think those that normally do are doing Total200 tomorrow.
I'll try to join in at georgetown for the short ride. I'd be in for something short and fast to get home before the temperature starts really ramping up.
I'm interested but don't usually ride with you all. How far are you considering going? I would also becoming from the Mt. Vernon Trail probably starting at Indigo marina area..
2 more "B" riders planning to be at the usual spot at 7:30 tomorrow and hoping for 50.
2 C riders are coming out! We'll see how far we get though. :)
I went thru the area today, and the only slowdown was River Road east of Potomac, MD, which is not where the route goes. West of Potomac to the "T" was ok.
if anyone is planning on going long, a small group of us are heading out at 7am leaving from 37th and Reservoir... i'm planning for about 100 unless the heat does me in.
Just tried to start a ride out to the T and decided to turn back after thirty minutes of debris and tree dodging. It's a real mess on the roads and people are still driving like idiots too. Pretty dangerous. I recommend folks postpone their rides until some of this debris can be addressed.
