I'll be there too. Is the meeting in Grown at same spot as for the Sunday ride?
Great! Looks like Andy's pulling the faster group. We should be able to stay together as a larger group at least until that last light after we leave DC by the reservoir when the pace will pick up as we go down that short little "hill." Long interval to Great Falls (including the right turn up Mountain Gate) can start for anyone who wants in.
We'll rally at the top of the hill at Great Falls (feel free to skip Mountain Gate and meet up there).
Departing from 8th and Penn SE at 8:10 and Wisc. and M NW at 8:30. More details on the first page of this thread.
pumped!
wow, you 16-19 mph-ers must have been riding well today. we were a little surprised to get up to the top of great falls and see a group cresting the next hill up falls road in the distance. must have been you guys. hope you had a good ride.
and andy, well you're an animal. you've got quite a season ahead if you're already in this kind of shape.
Strong group today! I had to take a little nap afterward because I was wiped out. A hard bonk coming back into town left me delusional for about an hour after the ride.
Hopefully we'll see you out there next week -- And next week, no excuses, Mountain Gate for all!

Saturday is looking rather wet, so what better way to procrastinate doing your taxes than a ride on Friday? Not to mention it's DC Emancipation Day and pools are closed. Looking to roll from GTown to the T around 2PM (18 avg), though can be talked into a time after the AM commute if there are any takers. Ben
My thoughts exactly! and, that time/distance would work perfectly for me. I can be at the bank, ready to roll at 2pm unless I hear otherwise. -Jess
Unfortunately, I can't swing tomorrow or Saturday (regardless if it's dry).
Sunday, I'm hoping to squeeze in a ride to Poolesville. Same time/place as the usualy Sat. time if anyone is interested.
-Travis
Ok, 2PM Friday from the bank in Georgetown. It's officially a group ride.
Given the weather conditions on Saturday, is anyone interested in riding on Sunday instead? Looking to get in about 40 miles and not pushing the pace too hard.
I'm in for Friday in Gtown.
Nice ride yesterday, minus the Georgetown traffic mess. IN for Poolesville Sunday.
For Sunday, we're planning to jump in with Tuan's ride, at least at the beginning. He leaves G-Town at 8:00 so the plan is to roll from 8th & Penn SE at 7:40 to hit G-Town by 8:00.
See you tomorrow.
Adding myself to the 2011 thread...finally ready to get back out there with the group!
Looks like a chance for rain and maybe thunderstorms tomorrow morning. But if it's not raining, the temps look great for a ride.
I'm out for tomorrow to help with the NTP ride instead but hopefully there's a good group heading out MacArthur in the morning.
Anybody going to chance it tomorrow?
I was thinking about it, but the weather on Sunday looks more conducive to a ride. If people want to move the regular ride to Sunday, I'd be down for same time/place.
I am planning to ride on Sunday with Tuan's group. We roll from Georgetown at 0800.
Eric - I'll be out there tomorrow (g'town @ 8:30) as long as it's not a steady down pour.
-Brady
I have some family in town so i'm gonna try to get a quick ride in on Saturday. If I can get my act together in the morning, hope to see you guys in gtown, otherwise, i'll pick up the group on Reservoir.
-Les
Good to see you all out there on Saturday - nice strong ride. If you've been riding the same pair of tires all winter it's probably time to change them out. Flats will really slow down your average speed!
