Jody et al, I'm up for the B/B- G'town ride. Is the meeting point at M and Wisconsin?

Thanks,
Brian W.

Great ride everyone. Nice to see some of the Total 200 jerseys out there. If you have the time to volunteer on July 6 we would REALLY appreciate your help. Find out more here: http://www.total200.com/Volunteers

There were a lot of y'all out there today. I was way impressed. Lots of DCTri jerseys. Looking good in those kits!

And Steph, I'm just gonna have to post up on that corner more often. Need to turn more tricks to get money for Austria. :::^)::

Not sure if others on this post are interested, but I'm planning to head out to Skyline this weekend.

I did a separate post >> HERE << with all of the details for those interested.

I'd like to join you all this Saturday from Gtown. This will be my first time with the group, I typically ride 15-17 MPH and would like to do 40-50 miles. Let me know if I should look for a dif ride!

Katie, you should have folks at your pace and hopefully some of them will post here to let you know. (Most don't though).

I'm going to be joining the ride from Capitol Hill @ 7:10 (7:30 Gtown pickup) and looking to go to the BP and back pretty quickly like the last couple weekends. We'll keep it tame until we hit the last light at MacArthur and Sangamore (past the Exxon) though.

Katie -- Patrick is correct, there will most likely be people in your speed group riding Saturday. Not everyone who rides in the group posts or stays glued to the thread each week (Weird, right?). I'd suggest getting to G-Town just a couple minutes early and introducing yourself as new and asking for who will be representing the 15-17 crowd. Just in case there isn't anyone there, please familiarize yourself with the route (Maps on first thread of this post). We regroup at the BP at River and Falls Roads. If you get separated, don't take the turns for the hills on Mtn. Gate or down into Great Falls Park and you'll catch up people at the BP.

We're still looking for volunteers for the July 6th Total200 bike ride. You can SIGN UP HERE to help out. With the holiday weekend, there are lots of chances to get your long ride in AND help out with this epic ride that is organized by Saturday ride veteran, Eric Goetz. Come out and support the many DC Tri folks that will be riding 200-miles in just one day!

Anyone thinking of heading out tomorrow for some pre-fireworks riding? I'm considering my options (an included option is sleeping in) for the morning.

I'm highly considering it - so I won't feel like such as a slacker on Saturday at Total 200.

I'm contemplating going as far as Sugarloaf at a reasonable pace if there is interest. And by reasonable, I mean that I won't be blowing up in the first 20 miles and then suffering through the next 80 in this sauna.

Travis, Eric, and I are rolling from the Hill at 6:30 and will roll through G-Town between 6:50 and 7. Travis is going long (Sugarloaf), I'm probably turning around at the T or Poolesville.

Travis, et al,

Some of you may know Randy, (older fast guy in the Long and Foster kit). He had a major crash last Saturday, coming back down MacArther Blvd, just before it hits Reservoir Road again. You know, that short downhill with all the potholes? Well he hit a pothole and endo. Ambulance was called. Several cracked ribs, collapsed lung, major contusion on left hip, stitches in left elbow. He's sore, but ok, will make a full recovery.

Anyway, I'm hosting a SURPRISE get well/happy birthday party for him (his birthday is mon 7/8). Party is on SUNDAY, 7/7 at 3:30pm sharp. 2500 Clarendon Blvd. in Arlington (courthouse/clarendon area). Call Megan at (ate oh five) ate six one - oh oh too one for more info or just show up and text me. Food provided. BYOB. Don't be late cause it's a surprise party. Come hang with fellow athletes.

Megan
p.s. I'll still see you all Sat AM, 07:30am at Georgetown!

thanks!

I'm planning to ride tomorrow, to the T and back Glenn.

Looks like the storm should be passed threw by then, but I"m planning to ride rain or shine.

Hope to see some of you at G-town at 0730.
