Nice riding and great turnout again this week - See you next time. I hear it's going to be 75 and sunny at 8am next Saturday. (somewhere)
People riding tomorrow with how warm it's gonna be? I just want to make sure safety is our priority, don't want anyone getting a heat stroke. I'm planning on meeting in cap hill.
It's going to be between 40-50deg (awesome for this time of year). Juan and I (B team) will be a Gtown at 8:30.
It does look like it has potential to be a beautiful day before temps plummet on Sunday.
I'm torn between getting out on the road v. going out on the MTB tomorrow morning. It may be a game time decision but I'm leaning towards just rolling out the door on the road instead of driving to the trails.
In to the BP. Just getting back into riding after some knee stuff, so I'm planning to take it easy.
Travis, I'm interpreting your post to mean we'll see you on the Hill at 8:10.
With the swim meet cancelled, this may make a good alternative.
I still haven't decided. I may decide in the morning so don't wait for me if I'm not there.
I won't be around next Saturday but I'll be around on Friday to burn off some pie calories or if anyone is taking off work prior to the holiday, I'll be doing some weekday workouts as well.
See you on cap Hill at 8:10.
Nice ride out there today. That head wind was brutal but the pace was quick.
Anyone else in town and riding tomorrow? I'm in for a brisk (temperature, not pace) ride. I'll need to make it a quick turnaround at the BP since I have to get back for a wedding.
8:10 Hill/8:30 Gtown.
I'm planning on riding from the Hill tomorrow and also the BP and back loop.
I'm in for a BP loop as well, be at Georgetown at 830.
Despite the cold temps, both the A and B teams were represented out there today. For those who want to train through the winter, it's comforting to know, you're not alone! (And MacArthur is almost all the way paved now.)
Enjoy your weekend.
Anyone riding long on Saturday (weather permitting)?
I'll be around weather permitting. I'll ride down to a start temp of mid to high 20's if it's dry... If it's precipitating my bed becomes infinitely more attractive.
I will be SWIMMING Saturday morning!
Juan and I (B team) are in, 8:30 in Georgetown.
I'm planning on being on two wheels on Saturday but not sure if it'll be mountain bike or road. The decision will likely also be weather dependent.
Forecast for Sat's high says 25 deg cooler than today, bummer.
If anyone is interested, plan is to ride Beach post NCC swim session #1 at UDC.
Clip in at 1015am at Pierce Mill, go north on Beach til you hit Garrett Park Rd. 12 miles one way.
The trick is: Don't follow the people up front :-)
When waiting in G-town, ask who is riding B-group, and band together with them. The folks in the A-group will gather together during the roll out and along MacArthur, and usually drops the hammer at the hill starting at Sangamore Rd.
Communicate to others around what speeds you want to go and see who is around to stick with you. The B ride can be 1 person or it can be many. Just depends who comes out that day.
