The forecast looks great for Saturday. Ride is ON.
I'm planning on a ride to Great Falls and not pushing the tempo. Just an easy spin in anticipation of a solid workout at the brick-nic on Sunday.
8:10 departure from the hill
8:30 roll through G-town.
All other details are in the first post in the thread.
Goin for a double bric or a double nic?
The weather does look awesome. I have to be back on the Hill by 10:30 to pick up a friend from the airpport, so I'm going for a quick Great Falls/Oaklyn loop. If we ramp up the pace after the reservoir, that should be just enough time to get back with a few stops at the usual places. Anyone in for that?
count me in for an easy ride to Great Falls. will meet folks in G-town.
Josh
"easy" saturday ride? you guys easy ride is typically my hard all-out tempo ride!
i'm definitely in tomorrow, will try to hang off the back and head out to the T.
See you guys on Reservoir!
-Les
In for the moderate start. Heading to T or beyond... Ben
I'm in for an easy loop to Great Falls/Oaklyn. I went out with the Sunday group last week and we went up Persimmon Tree on the way out, which was actually a pretty nice ride. Anyone up for changing the course a bit this week?
IN for the Oaklyn loop at Z10+!
OUT for the (double) nic (i.e. @MacArthur & Falls), as I plan to save the nic for Sunday!
I am probably in out to the T.
I plan to join the ride at 830 in Gtown. Meet wisconsin at M
Good ride to Great Falls this morning and nice to see a couple of new faces as well.
We had a couple of guys join today who are hearing impaired... Welcome to the group! I wish I was more equipped with some basic sign language skills. If you have any questions about our rides, shoot me a message by clicking on my red screen name on this post.

Sorry I missed you guys, got my second side wall tear of the week (on new tires!) heading over & took too long to swap bikes and catch you guys!
hope to see some of you at the bric-nic tomorrow!
New face here, it was great, thank you all, see you tomorrow at the brick and next Saturday, I'll be doing this more often.
Slight chance for rain on Saturday but otherwise the forecast looks great.
I have a 100-mile ride on the plan for Saturday and plan to head to Sugarloaf (Cue sheet on original thread). I know a lot of people are heading down to Lake Anna for Peasantman on Sunday.
Who's around to ride on Saturday?
Travis
I'm planning on riding but I'll be heading out as soon as the sun peeks (6 or 630am) and riding to Poolesville and back.
Ryan
Peer pressure got me to Poolesville last week... it could work for Sugarloaf on Saturday. Assuming 8:30 Gtown unless otherwise posted.
I'm in for 50 miles out to the T. Meet at G'Town at 8:30
I'm in for a nice easy trip to the T and back on Saturday, unless it rains. If it rains, I'm staying in bed.
Looks like a good group and a nice mix of distances for tomorrow. Usual ride times apply.
Since my ride is a long one, I plan to ride a steady pace (~20mph) with a minimum of stops to regroup. I don't want to be rude, I just want to have a couple of hours left of my Saturday after I get home.
The 'loaf crew will probably more or less roll through the Great Falls regroup point (chances are the A group will beat me there, anyway) and ride on to Poolesville for a quick stop at the gas station to refill bottles. Then out to Sugarloaf with the next stop(s) to come as needed.
Cue sheets and meeting points on original post.
Travis
doin the club duathlon.
Anyone rolling to/from G'town tomorrow? Can start at 8 or 830 but need to be back before 11.
