I was wondering which group is the the faster one and which one is the slower one is if
A or B because we wanna start on the slower one. Any one knows cause last time we got
The slower one is the B group. As Trevor mentioned, just ask aloud, "So who's riding B group?" when you meet up with the group.
Thanks Adam, we will try again this Saturday!
New in town here. Looking to hop in on the riding and learn some routes. How long is the ride typically on Saturday? Also, where does it go? Lookin to come out maybe this weekend or next (might get in some NCC miles sat AM.
Adam, I'll join you for the NCC swim + bike. I'll take any excuse to chop off bike miles and add swim miles...
I'll be there too Stolz! Run after the bike? eh eh??
Reidstrong - if you check out the very first post in this thread, it's got all of the details and maps. Let me know if that doesn't answer your questions.
With the weather situation this weekend, I'm planning to take a look out the window tomorrow morning around 7:15. If it's raining, I'm heading back to bed. If not, I'll be at Cap. Hill at 8:10 for a loop to Great Falls. Possibly with a warm up stop after the ride at Dean & DeLuca
For those swimming and biking with Adam - don't forget to sign up for the swim. We will not be taking cash at the pool and registration will be closed at 7:30am (I need time to print the sheet out before heading to the swim myself).
Is anybody riding tomorrow from Georgetown.
I'll be serving a grateful nation tomorrow at the Army/Navy game. Log lots of miles for those of us who can't.
In the unlikely event that it isn't snowing in the morning, I'll be there. 8:10 Hill/8:30 Gtown.
Forecast looks favorable. Who's in??
In... with holidays parties and all any interest in pushing the start time back an hour to 9:30 gt'town, or even 9?
Later = warmer, so that works for me. Happy with either 9 or 9:30.
Not sure how the body or bike will hold up after not riding for a loonggg while but I am definitely loving the forecast. Prefer the later start time as well. 40 or less for me.
Anyone riding on Saturday in B group? I just got my first road bike and this weekend will be my first ride. I've always had hybrids and I did my first tri last year and averaged about 14mph on the Savageman Olympic course. Is it reasonable for me to join this ride?
Once everyone settles on a time for Saturday, I'll try to join. Went out for a few miles today after several weeks on the trainer. It's a lot harder to carry my off-season sized ass up hills than it is to just spin along on the trainer.
Drew, congrats on the new bike! It's always fun getting new wheels. I'm sure you'll be faster than 14 by nature of having a new, fast bike. But since it seems like a smaller group this week, you should come out for the ride to meet people and be prepared with a cue sheet (see original post in thread for details) if the group that shows up is riding a little faster. Between the beautiful winter weather and the new bike, you'll have fun regardless.
In for the awesome weather on Saturday. Sounds like a few people want to bump the time a little later this week, and others still need to get back for holiday activities as well, so how about we compromise and bump it back to 9:00 Georgetown (8:40 Hill) for this week.
Yep. I think 9am from g'town is reasonable enough!
I'm in for my first DC Tri ride. How far are people going typically? Ill be at the Georgetown pickup at 9
