If it's not pouring rain I'll be out tomorrow. Probably to GF, slim chance to the T.
Congrats to everyone who race IM last week!
Weather's looking great... Hope to see some of you out tomorrow.
Planning for the BP but could easily be talked into the T. See ya at 0730 in gtown.
In to the British Petroleum with some silly hills in between.
I want to come to the bricnic this weekend but have never done the weekly ride before. My boyfriend and I are a pretty solid 15.5 mph pace, usually, but that often means we lose the pack and I'm not super comfortable with doing a new course without some company.
I know there is a 19 mile loop, but not sure if anyone is planning on doing that.
Is there anyone around a 15.5 pace that plans to be there? Or have any suggestions for enjoying the bricnic?
I'm coming off an injury and, to be kopan' better with that condition, will be going pretty easy.
Short easy ride and then BrickNic right Ed? Should be lots of people riding and then hanging out at Key Bridge Boathouse. :-)
Anyone know where the route /
Map is posted for Saturday's bricknic ride?
And route maps I've found here:
Gabi: I don't think you know the meaning of a "short easy ride", but maybe you're in taper now. :) Yes, I figure to be back at the boathouse by 9:30.
Haha Ed, you mean 40 isn't short and easy? I am def tapering, which is why I won't even be riding! You'll find me sitting at the Boat House with a book waiting for all of you to get there! :-)
Oh and I saw someone else post about being a 15.5 pace. There are 70+ people registered for the bricknic which should mean a wide range of paces. The ride out and back to the BP is also pretty easy to follow (just a couple of turns out of GTown and then a straight shot to the BP). Hope you make it out!
Hi, I'm new to the club, it's going to be my first ride tomorrow, could you please help me? Are you meeting for a long ride at the boathouse? Do you know the routes?
Thanks, It will be great to meet you!
I think we're meeting at the usual Wisconsin & M bank parking lot at 7:30, then rolling to the boathouse, then off on the ride.
(Gabi, I hope your book is a recently acquired one written by a local author...)
Just a heads up for Saturday- some B groupers are planning to do the White's Ferry loop. We'll start with the regular crew and head on past Poolesville to catch the ferry and come back via W&OD. It's about 80-85 miles depending on where you're starting from. Don't forget your $2 for the ferry ride! And we'll stop at DQ on the way back for those who need ice cream for motivation!
