That's good to know. Thanks. I'll likely pass this week since I need to get in some mileage and don't think my first trail run should be a 10-12 miler. We'll all have great weather though!

Anni,

Sounds good. There are usually others too. I am open to trails or road. If trails are mud soaked, I could be convinced to do the road.

Had a great run this morning as a new member. Appreciated the friendliness of the group. Looking forward to getting after it on weekends to come.

If anybody can't make the Sunday runs but still wants to do a RCP trail run, you're welcome to join our group (couple of triathletes, but mostly ultra runners). We meet at the trailhead at West Beach and Parkside Dr, right near the MD-DC line. The loop is about 9 miles with a good amount of hills. Pace is usually around 8 or faster. Anybody interested in a longer run can meet up at my place in Silver Spring. About 3-4 of us meet there and run down to the park, which adds about 3 miles to the total run. Email me off-list if you're interested and I'll add you to our distro list.

Had a great group last weekend, but looks like some folks are out of town. Who's in for tomorrow?

I am there tomorrow but need to get 10 miles in. Likely will go on road instead of trail this time. Any takers for a 9:30/mile pace for 10 miles?

Hi all,

I haven't joined a Sunday run before but i'm planning on joining up and am game for 10. I'll keep my eyes peeled for you. I'll have a blue/orange new balance jacket and blue shorts.

Hey jps226 -
That sounds awesome - but do you want to run on Saturday?

I'll be at RCP on Sunday at 9:00 for a few miles on the trails. I'm working through an injury and haven't run for a couple of weeks so can't promise 12 miles but if I'm feeling good, I'll try to get in some long miles.

Hi everyone. I'm looking to join the Sunday RCP run this weekend. How many folks are planning to go? What sort of distances and pace? I am up for whatever, but would like to clear 8-10 miles.

8-10 is generally the average distance. The large loop we run clocks right around 10 miles with the option to tack on another mile or two at the top of the park.

See you Sunday.

Sarah and Abby,

Unfortunately Saturday wont work for me. But looks like you two can join up!

Anyone else interested in 12 miles of trail @ an 830 pace come on out. Ill be the one in outdated and unfasionably colorful running gear.

I'm going to plan on being at RCP at 9:00 for 60ish minutes.

Unless it's raining. In which case I'm staying in bed for some needed sleep.

I think this counts as rain. No run for me.
