IN for the 10 mile loop! But, this week we are going to start a little later due to the nice fall-ish weather. See you at Pierce MIll at 9 am! Brunch afterwards hopefully!
Jenny
I'm hoping to get some long miles in this weekend and thinking of doing 2 long loops.
I know some people will be running a half marathon that morning. Anyone planning to join me at RCP? If not, I'll probably just run from home.
I'm planning to be there. I'd rather do a quick long loop though rather than 2 since Myrtle Beach is next weekend. Cabi there and run home to get the extra miles?
i think my workout this weekend may contain less i and more Cab.
Just FYI... I an contemplating skipping the trails tomorrow and will make a game time decision . Just wanted to let people know in case someone is thinking about joining and hasn't chimed in.
I'll be at rcp at 9 to run 10. it's always more pleasant and drier in the woods.
Anyone running tomorrow or is everyone at Backyard Burn #1?
I know many of the regulars are doing some long runs these days, but does anyone want to shake out some Halloween cobwebs on Sunday on the trails?
Maybe at a more reasonable hour considering the number of Halloween parties that are going to take place this weekend.
Maybe 10:00 for an hour of hangover crushing fun?
Travis
I'm doing a pre-Halloween debauchery trail run on Saturday. Same place, time flexible.
I'm doing Backyard Burn this weekend, but I'm in for next weekend. Looks like it will be a pretty sweet trail running day: cold and muddy.
Game for a casual go of the 10 mile loop.
I know there's a couple different events going on Sunday but who's joining for some leafy trail fun? I need to prepare for the next 2 byb's.

I'm looking to hit the trails on Saturday if anyone is interested. As an add on, I'm signed up for the Anything Possible 5k Saturday night/Sunday morning. I'm hoping I can break a -45 minutes in the 5k. Maybe -46 if my legs aren't too toasty.

So every sunday, you guys run ten miles? I'm in. I have no idea where this is.
Is this the parking lot on the memorial highway?
Jake,
We do this most every Sunday. Especially in the off-season.
We meet at the parking lot for Peirce Mill which is near Beach Dr. and Tilden Ave. You can search for Peirce Mill for better directions.
I plan to be out there running most every Sunday this winter but the next couple of weeks are iffy until a bunch of us get done running Philly Marathon. I hear that there is sometimes brunch after these runs, too.
It would be great to get a solid group of 10 or more out there every week again this winter like we did last year. So start digging your cold weather gear out!
Cool. I just did the Marine Corps Marathon. It was cool. It was my first one. What is the pace you guys usually run? I was keeping 8:20 on the marathon till the 21 mile mark and then hit a wall. Hopefully, I can eliminate that running in the off season.
Congrats on Marine Corps! I think most of us know that wall pretty well.
Pace on the trails is a different animal than on the road. We usually have pretty broad pace groups represented so no one is left behind.
As we get going with the runs we'll help organize the runs via the forum so everyone knows who and what paces to expect. It'll be good to have you out there. It's a great place to run.
Im excited. I think I will bring my pack to run with and go with a slower group.
Im glad I found this place. I had to train all by myself. That is boring. I find that expectations make training easier. If there is a scheduled event, I wont miss it.
So will anyone be out tomorrow morning? I could start at 8 or 9am. I'd be in a slower pack, probably 8.5-9min miles for 10mi.
