I'm planning to get a few (~4ish) extra miles in before the groups starts at 9. Probably start at 8:15ish if anybody's interested.
Looks like another lovely vortex is rolling in, so time to get the miles in!
Planning on running tomorrow too!
looking forward to some trail miles tomorrow!
I think I'm going to skip RCP this week and head up to Patapsco for some orienteering. If anyone is looking for a change of scenery, let me know. I'm planning on the longer course (10+ miles, depending on navigation accuracy) which starts between 9:30 and 10:30. I'll probably arrive there at 9:45 to check in.
The other courses are open from 11 to 3 and difficulty varies both on navigation and distance. It's pretty easy to get started even if you have no experience with map and compass.
Did everyone run the half today or is anyone up for some RCP miles tomorrow.
I'm hoping to get in the big loop + some extra miles and will be running a pretty relaxed pace. It's been a couple of weeks since I've gotten in a good run workout so I'm expecting the legs to feel a little heavy.
I'll be there for a 7mi run.
Anyone running on 3/30?
Anyone running the long loop today? muddy, muddy fun
Anyone running Sunday? Maybe 5-8 miles?
Hi - are these group runs still going on? In rock creek park?
Virginia Happy Trails Running Club is hosting several Sunday trail runs this summer.
Please check the VHTRC website (http://www.vhtrc.org/events/sip/) for any updates and for more details on each run.
Not sure if anyone has been doing these Sunday RCP runs but would love to have some company tomorrow.
Starting at 9am, forecast says 73 deg.
I'm doing a ride with some intervals starting at Peirce Mill lot before hand if anyone would like to join me!
Arrive 730, clip in 745.
Just post here to let me know!
I'll be out there running 15ish but I'm starting around 6:30.
This training run thread has gone somewhat dormant. So, I'm inviting anyone that wants to join me Sunday for a run.
Time: 730 am
Start: Brooklyn Bagels, 2055 Wilson Blvd, Arlington, VA 22201 (Courthouse)
Route: Down to Rosslyn, along the Towpath and back.
Distance/Duration: I plan to run 55 minutes. Feel free to run as long, short, fast, slow, hard, easy, as you wish. (After about 20 minutes, I'll be running tempo pace.)
There's a water fountain at Wisconsin and M St, 1.5 miles from beginning/end and another one at Fletchers Boat House, 3.8 miles out.
Bring money for a breakfast sandwich at BB after.
Thanks for organizing Adam! I'll be there.
Hi, does anyone still meet to run in RCP?
I run in the park a few times a week but haven't been on the scheduled sunday run in awhile. The 9am run usually goes dormant in the summer time while everyone is training for races and picks back up in fall/winter.
It's Brady's fault.
I'm in for anything that starts at Brooklyn Bagels!
I think that I might be able to make it from BB as well.
