Don't understand terminology for April Swim Workouts
POSTED: 4/06/09 3:26 PM

Sorry, but I'm not following some of the terminology for the new Swim Workouts for April. What does 15" rest mean? (15 seconds, 15 meters, 15 strokes?). And what does "25 hard swim/75 easy," etc. mean (25 strokes or what?) Thanks!

15" rest means 15 seconds rest. So whatever distance you're doing, 50 yards, 100 yards, swim that distance and then rest 15 seconds before you begin the next swim.

25 hard swim/75 easy is speed related. If your set is 100 yards, you do the first 25 yards hard (fast), and then the remaining 75 yards easy.

Hope that helps.
